This is education and setup help. It is not legal advice. Talk to your CPA or lawyer.

Protection questions agents ask us

Does a 1099 agent need an LLC or E&O?

They do different jobs. Many agents use both. E&O covers claims from work mistakes. An LLC can keep business debts off your own assets. It does not shield you from your own work mistakes. That is why E&O still matters.

Will an LLC protect me from chargebacks?

Not always. You sign many carrier contracts in your own name. IMO contracts too. So a debit balance can stay yours. That is true even with an LLC. Read your contracts. Ask your lawyer how they are written.

Can my agency business get my commissions?

Often, yes. Many carriers and IMOs pay commissions to an agency. It needs its own agency license. It must name a licensed agent in charge. Each carrier's rules differ. Check with your upline.

What is co-mingling? Why does it matter?

Co-mingling means mixing work and home money. It can weaken the wall your business builds. So keep split bank accounts, books and signed records.

Is this legal advice?

No. WealthShield™ is education and setup help. This is education. Talk to your CPA or lawyer. Check state and contract choices with them.

Wealth Financial Investing Group, LLC gives marketing, CRM, coaching and teaching to licensed insurance agents. We are not a law firm, a CPA firm or an investment adviser. Nothing here is legal, tax or money advice. Only licensed agents sell insurance. The insurance company backs each policy. Policy loans and withdrawals lower cash value and death benefit. They may also change your taxes. Goals on this site are not promises. Results are not the same for everyone.
